With only a few exceptions, you can do everything in Monarch on a mobile device or tablet held vertically that you can do on a desktop or laptop computer. Use this article to learn how to navigate Monarch on a mobile device or tablet held vertically.
Note
On a mobile device or vertically held tablet, you cannot:
- Access the player.
- Grade assignments.
Because the only functions that students can currently perform are in the Player, students cannot use Monarch on a mobile device.

The new Monarch platform works on a variety of device sizes, including mobile devices. Try holding the tablet in landscape mode, where the widest side is on top. This often will resolve the issue for many tablets. Phones or small tablets are likely not supported.
